DefExpo is India’s largest expo which covers the complete spectrum of aerospace, defence and security sectors. More than 1000 Indian as well as foreign exhibitors participated in Defexpo 2020 held from 5th – 8th February 2020 in Lucknow. Aeron had participated in Defexpo 2020 to showcase its capabilities in developing tactical class inertial navigation systems, inertial sensors and its IoT based monitoring systems designed specially for the defence sector.

Theme of DefExpo 2020 was ‘Digital Transformation of Defence.’ The theme of the exhibition clearly highlights the increasing penetration of digital technology based products and solutions in the defence sector. Aeron had anticipated this shift long back and invested its resources in developing next-gen solutions like tactical class inertial navigation systems, inertial sensors and IoT based monitoring solutions for the defence establishments. Pollux 2 :Micro-miniature inertial navigation system designed for soldier tracking and navigational assistance for UGVs and UAVs.

Octantis 2 : Octantis 2 is a family of MIL Qualified, DO-178B/C compliant tactical-class Inertial Navigation Systems designed for airborne applications. 

Tilt sensors : A wide range of tilt sensors, tilt switches, inclinometers and digital magnetic compass for numerous applications; from platform stabilisation and robot navigation to launcher stabilisation bridge alignment.

Product Launches at Defexpo

ALDEBARAN, Aeron’s Fibre Optic Gyro based inertial navigation system was launched by Shri. R. Madhavan, Chairman of HAL. ALDEBARAN Inertial Navigation Systems are designed specially for aircrafts and helicopters. HAL has been esteemed customer and Shri. Madhavan expressed his happiness with indigenous companies like Aeron developing critical navigation technology. On the Day 3 of Defexpo, during the Bandhan Event, Aeron unveiled its   Airworthy AHRS Octantis 2 which has been awarded CEMILAC certification.  The AHRS was unveiled by Hon. Raksha Mantri Shri. Rajnath Singh in presence of Hon. Chief Minister of UP, Shri. Yogi Adityanath. Shri. Ashvani Shukla, CEO, Aeron Systems, briefed dignitaries about indigenous development done by Aeron Systems.

Product Launch

Displays at Indian Pavilion 

The India pavilion at Defexpo exclusively showcased the strong partnership between the public and private sector, including small and medium enterprises. Aeron’s products had been included in the displays at the India Pavillion. After the inauguration of the expo, Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi visited the India Pavilion. 

Products displayed at the India Pavilion were – Pollux 2, Soldier location and health monitoring systems, air and water quality monitoring systems for defence establishments. Many dignitaries from private organisations, defence forces and ministry visited the India Pavilion and interacted with the Aeron team.

Dignitaries and representatives from a large number of government organisations as well as private organisations in India and abroad visited Aeron’s stall and representatives of Aeron Systems gave them details about our offerings. Chief of Defence Staff of India, General Bipin Rawat visited the Aeron Systems stall and interacted with representatives from the Aeron Team. 

Defexpo 2020 clearly highlighted the disappearing boundaries between manufacturing and digital technologies. Aeron’s innovative products which are a synergy of manufacturing know-how and smart digital technology grabbed everyone’s attention at Defexpo.
